The Village Hall Roof project

The Village Hall requires some significant structural work to ensure its safe use in the future. Steel tie beams are to be inserted to stop the walls from splaying under the weight of the roof.

This work will cost in the region of £13,500. The Parish Council have pledged £1,500 and the Village Hall Committee have applied for various grants. However, until we know how much grant money has been raised we will not know how much extra is needed, it is expected to be between £3,000 and £5,000.

We want to have the project finished by the end of this year. A letter will be coming round shortly to ask you for help, financial or physical, to raise this money.

Please help us make sure that the village hall survives for the next generation.
